Safe in Carlsbad
We are holed up safely at home. Air quality is terrible. Sky is a horrible yellow-gray that I have never seen before. Ash and soot have been raining down today, covering the surface of the pool. Friends in neighboring southern coastal towns of Encinitas and Leucadia are being evacuated, as are some people we know (and see at playgroup) inland. We are praying for an end to the Santa Ana winds and low humidity.
