What he didn't tell you...

...is that she was sitting at the top of the stairs, I went into the master bedrooom, sat on the floor and started blowing bubbles. She stood up from the floor, without pulling up on anything (!!!) and walked 6 or more steps into the master bedroom.

We are so excited!!

The best part about working from home is watching my little froglet develop on a daily basis... after only 11 months, 8 days my little girl took her first steps on her own!! It was right outside my office so I got to see it all! This is a very happy and proud "dada!" :)

Updates at 11 mos...

Although she loves pushing her walker, cruising and standing, Aria has resisted my attempts to "walk" her holding her hands. Today she let me walk her all over the house!! It won't be long before she realizes she doesn't need to hold on to me!

In other news, we have a contract on our house and should be closing escrow on 6/30. We are pretty excited (and overwhelmed) about the move. =)

We are planning a first birthday party for Aria in mid-June.

Finally...more teeth!

Aria's upper two teeth are pushing through...also she has a third bottom tooth that has come up. I was starting to think this would never happen! She got her first two teeth at Christmas and nothing since! You can see in some of the pictures below that she is chewing on a teether...

We're going to visit Jess and Nic in mid-May. 6 hour car ride and child-proofing might be a tad challenging but we're excited to get up there...

Lots of pointing...

In the last two weeks, Aria spends a LOT of her time pointing at things and looking at me to name them or explain them. She loves to point at pictures of her "mama" and "dada"but lights, fans, birds and of course, dogs are still favorite things. We have been having so much fun lately. Had a great visit with K and J and their triplet boys. Off to the Carlsbad Fair today. Hope to have a contract soon. Will keep you all posted...
