Aria rolling front to back AND back to front!!!

WARNING: Baby bragging!
She has been going from front to back for a few weeks now but yesterday did back to front several times, today too! Our skinny baby is strong as an ox!

We've got some great pictures of Cousin Abby feeding Aria her bottle. Will post soon.

"During tummy time (which you should supervise), your baby may lift herself into a push-up position and then start to rock back and forth or kick her feet. Then, if she's strong enough, those movements will send her rolling over. (She may get startled and cry the first time!) Flipping from back to front often takes until around 5 months because it requires more coordination and strength. You don't need to coach your baby to roll, though; just make sure she has a safe place to try it out if she wants to." from Parenting Magazine

Fall in San Diego....

Aria is 14 1/2 weeks!!! We spend our mornings going for walks with a play group friend in our new B.O.B. jog stroller, kickin' it --on her back and doing tummy time outside by the pool, dancin' on daddy's desk to Eminem, Aerosmith and the Red Hot Chili Peppers during his work breaks or singin' to XM's The Heart--all mushy songs all the time with mommy--we tried it as a trio but the the songs made daddy gag so that has become a "mommy and me" time.

Aria is testing out her vocal chords and loves to screech, scream, growl and giggle. She's also starting to grasp objects and put them in her mouth. She will occasionally roll from her front to her back (common early with skinny babies, they basically lean and their heavy head pulls them over, the pediatrician tells us). She's a very good sleeper and super smiley...

We're looking forward to a visit from Cousin Abby, Aunt S and Uncle H. this week...Legoland here we come!

Aria's Virtual Bumbo Party

Throughout my pregnancy I was part of an online community of other women due in June 2007. After we delivered our babies, we moved to a June "playgroup" thread. The other women have been a great source of information and reassurance. This is a picture of some of our June play group babies in their Bumbo chairs.
